As part of our Year of Writing, participants have the opportunity to enter a Daily Drabble contest throughout the month of February. This contest consists of writing a short drabble–100 words or less–based on our fill-in-the-blank prompt, which is posted daily on our Twitter.

The prompt for February 2nd was:

Winner: Farah C. Clifford

“What do you wanna watch?”

And that was the question, wasn’t it? Before her friend had arrived for an impromptu post-breakup session, she’d been studying her collection of movies, gnawing on her lip indecisively. Just like an hour and a half ago, however, she still couldn’t decide. At her friend’s depressed sigh, she closed her eyes and randomly grabbed one; after reading the title, she smiled, feeling victorious. ‘Perfect,’ she thought.

“I was thinking of watching Lilo & Stitch.”

“Man, I knew you were weird, but that’s just juvenile.”

“And juvenile is exactly what you need right now!”

“…”

“…”

“Ugh, fine.”

“Awesome!”
