Stardust, Always was released just two days ago! All proceeds from this charity anthology will be donated to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
We asked some of the contributors four short questions; every day this week, we’ll be sharing their responses. Today, we’d like to share Debbie Manber Kupfer – Author’s interview with Mayra Pérez González – Author. Debbie Manber Kupfer contributed a short story to Stardust, Always. Her piece, titled “The Big C,” is a short memoir of her time going through treatment for breast cancer.
MAYRA PÉREZ GONZÁLEZ: Why did you choose to participate?
DEBBIE MANBER KUPFER: I adore both Bowie and Rickman and wanted to share my story with the world in the hope that it can help others going through cancer treatment.
PÉREZ GONZÁLEZ: Describe your experience contributing to “Stardust, Always.”
MANBER KUPFER: Wonderful – an amazing group of folks to work with. 🙂
PÉREZ GONZÁLEZ: What influence has David Bowie or Alan Rickman had in your life?
MANBER KUPFER: Bowie is the music of my youth. He was always there in his many incarnations. I didn’t realize how profoundly he’d influenced [me] until after he died. I spent days wandering around in a fog, Starman echoing through my head.
PÉREZ GONZÁLEZ: Anything else you would like to say or add?
HEART: Just that everyone should buy this amazing anthology for a wonderful cause!
Stardust, Always is now available on Amazon in paperback and ebook format.
