Review: Touched by an Alien by Gini Koch

Touched by an Alien is the first in Gini Koch’s Alien series and I must say it had as much action as it did romance. It is a romance sci-fi about a woman named Katherine ‘Kitty’ Kat who falls in love with a man named Jeff Martini, one of many Alpha-Centaurians (A-Cs) living on earth.

They don’t live in secret; they have their citizenship and work for the government. The men and the women in the group all wear Armani suits and pack a lot of heat because they are always on dangerous, life threatening missions. The story starts when Kitty is attacked by Mephistopheles who in short is the A-C devil.

The A-C’s look human but aren’t on the inside. They have two hearts and are more agile and stronger. They have lots of stamina and some have special abilities; for example Jeff is an empath and Christopher can manipulate images and recreate them. The sex is graphic but it is a woman’s fantasy to meet a hot sexy alien who would kill for you, is great in bed, and can kick ass saving the world all at the same time. She and Jeff do fall for each other very quickly but that was partly because of Jeff’s empathic abilities. They do address how fast things are going in the story.

The A-C’s on earth are here because they are religious refugees. On Alpha Centauri there is only one religion and you either believe it or you don’t. They are born and raised with it there is no other way. So Christopher and the gang are here on earth for different personal reasons doing the best they can for humanity because they believe you can be redeemed.

I recommend this series to women who want a well written action sci-fi romance. The book is long but chapters are short. It keeps you on the edge with action and in the other books you learn more and more about the characters.

If you are looking for a sci-fi romance this is the series to read. There are over 10 books in the series and no chance of it ending anytime soon. If you want an action packed alien/human love story this is the series to read. Each book is better than the last.
