In this book, reporter Mandi Nkosil receives a tip along with supporting documentation from an anonymous informant which will blow the cover of AIC, one of the largest companies in the world, pointing to their involvement in a nuclear terror plot. AIC is a science and technology giant with many enemies. Mandi found herself on the run from assassins hired by the very men who do not want the world to discover the evidence. The evil goes all the way to the hallowed halls of government and the presidency. The world is on the edge of destruction if the wrong people come into possession of secret resources that can change history.
Out of all of the science fiction genre, science techno thrillers are not usually among my favorites. However, I found myself quickly absorbed into the storyline. The author had everything in this story needed to create a heart-stopping thriller with a hint of romance. With well-developed characters, the storyline was intriguing and the plot never lagged. I found myself cheering for the good guys and wanting to help destroy the bad guys. The author also included a wealth of scientific information that I found fun to read. It does not overwhelm the reader, it simply adds elements to the story to inform his audience. My only critique is the the ending was slightly stilted in comparison to the rest of the book.
